Midterm Critique

My artwork takes on my exploration of personal feelings of Imposter Syndrome. I like to combine found objects, paint, paper, and images to create collages on a physical or digital canvas. Some artists' work I have been finding inspiration from at Professor Hagan's direction are Barbara Krueger, Robert Prince, Collective art groups Adbusters and the Guerilla Girls. On my own, I have researched Fiona Rae and Jean (Hans) Arp, Fiona Rae's complex but balanced painting compositions, and Jean(Hans) Arp in his art career explored many different mediums. His collages using torn paper of his own work add to the interesting visual experience. Replicating my own interpretation and using these influences to create my own artistic journey is my goal.
